Norethisterone enanthate Powder (3836-23-5) Description:
Norethisterone was patented in 1951 and came into medical use in 1957.[7][8] It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system.
Norethisterone enanthate (NETE), also known as norethindrone enanthate, is a form of progestogen-only injectable birth control which is used to prevent pregnancy in women. It may be used following childbirth, miscarriage, or abortion.
Norethisterone enanthate is a synthetic oral progestin hormone with actions similar to those of progesterone but functioning as a more potent inhibitor of ovulation. It is used for contraception or to treat such conditions as secondary amenorrhea, abnormal uterine bleeding, and endometriosis. It is initially hydrolyzed by esterase, resulting in Norethisterone, which diffuses freely into target cells and bind to the progesterone receptor. Target cells include the female reproductive tract, the mammary gland, the hypothalamus, and the pituitary.
