What Is Fluoxymesterone/Halotestin Powder?
Fluoxymesterone is a man-made form of testosterone, a naturally occurring sex hormone that is produced in a man’s testicles. Small amounts of testosterone are also produced in a woman’s ovaries and adrenal system.
Fluoxymesterone brand name is Halotestin. Halotestin is a synthetic androgen, or male hormone, similar to testosterone. Fluoxymesterone works by attaching itself to androgen receptors; this causes it to interact with the parts of the cell involved in the making of proteins. It may cause an increase in the synthesis of some proteins or a decrease in the synthesis of others. These proteins have a variety of effects, including blocking the growth of some types of breast cancer cells, stimulating cells that cause male sexual characteristics, and stimulating the production of red blood cells.
Fluoxymesterone is a white or nearly white, odorless, crystalline powder, melting at or about 240℃, with some decomposition. It is practically insoluble in water, sparingly soluble in alcohol, and slightly soluble in chloroform.
The chemical name for fluoxymesterone is androst-4-en-3-one, 9-fluoro-11,17- dihydroxy-17-methyl-, (11β,17β)-. The molecular formula is C20H29FO3 and the molecular weight 336.45.
How Does Fluoxymesterone/Halotestin Powder Work?
Hormones are chemical substances that are produced by glands in the body, which enter the bloodstream and cause effects in other tissues. For example, the hormone testosterone, made in the testicles and is responsible for male characteristics such as deepening voice and increased body hair. The use of hormone therapy to treat cancer is based on the observation that receptors for specific hormones that are needed for cell growth are on the surface of some tumor cells. Hormone therapy can work by stopping the production of a certain hormone, blocking hormone receptors, or substituting chemically similar agents for the active hormone, which cannot be used by the tumor cell. The different types of hormone therapies are categorized by their function and/or the type of hormone that is affected.
Fluoxymesterone is classified as an androgen. Androgens are hormones such as testosterone and androsterone that produce or stimulate the development of male characteristics. Halotestin is the trade name of fluoxymesterone, which was synthesized in the 50s by Upjohn, and was later also manufactured by Ciba Pharmaceuticals under the name Ultandren.
Initially marketed for the treatment of clinical problems, for example, the loss of muscle mass, malnutrition, androgen deficiency problems, fracture healing and tissue repair in general, it was also used together with other medications which could have some side effect of this nature, such as corticosteroids.
In women and, of course, in very controlled doses, it has been used as an adjunct in the treatment of breast cancer, in menopause and outros problemas.
In bodybuilding use
In the bodybuilding world Halotestin is considered a very popular choice for power lifters and strength athletes; however, it is also a great hardener and cutter steroid for bodybuilders, although the side effects may make the benefits counter productive. The possible benefits and effects of Halotestin in building use are:
1) Strength and Energy
Greatly enhanced strength is the most important and desired effect of Halotestin and often the sole reason that a bodybuilder will choose to use it. The massive boost in strength and energy mainly comes from the effect of Halotestin on red blood cell function. This increased strength will help any athlete push performance to new levels, but with it comes increased aggression overall and this often makes it useful for powerlifters, fighters and others where aggressive strength might be a desirable trait.
2) Fat Loss
Although not a specific fat loss steroid or one with very powerful effects in this area, it can still contribute to the loss of fat but these effects will only really be seen if you are very lean already. Those who haven’t already lost a significant amount of body fat through previous cutting phases are unlikely to notice the fat loss effects of Halotestin.
3) Aggression and Drive
While this is often thought of as a negative side effect, increased aggression is also valued as a benefit by specific Halotestin users – most notably those who require the extra drive and energy for certain pursuits like fighting and powerlifting. As long as this increased aggression is put to positive use it is not seen as a problem by Halotestin users.
However those who are especially prone to existing mood or anger issues should take heed that this trait may worsen those existing tendencies in other aspects of life outside the competitive arena where it’s valued. This is only of great benefits to those who are already very lean with some of the lowest body fat levels if you are to see the true power of Halotestin in this area. For the average bodybuilder this will not be possible but those who take physical conditioning to the highest level will value what Halotestin can contribute to this phase of contest preparation.
Fluoxymesterone/Halotestin Powder Dosage
For a performance increase, doses between 10mg-40mg per day are enough. With 10mg you can already achieve really different effects. However, for aesthetic purposes, especially extreme ones, this use needs to be a little higher, reaching around 40mg per day.
This is an oral steroid and it is recommended that it be taken on an empty stomach to improve its bioavailability.
Having a half-life of 6-8 hours, 3-4 daily doses of the total dose are required, that is, if you chose to use 40mg per day, you can take 10mg every 6 hours.
If this is your first time to use halotestin, you can start with doses between 5mg-20mg dailyin order to realize the effects of the anabolic on your body and your individual tolerance levels as well.
